The morning engine from Schiedam.
Coldstart exists because cold outreach became an arms race of noise — and the answer isn't more noise. It's fewer, better letters.
Our mission
Every company that sells to other businesses has the same quiet problem: somewhere out there, right now, a company needs exactly what they sell — and they'll never meet. The old fix was volume: buy a list, blast five thousand inboxes, apologize to no one. It doesn't work, and it makes the world a little worse.
We believe the opposite: write to a few companies, on the morning something real happens to them, about them — and say no to almost everyone else. Out of 77 companies our engine looked at one recent morning, it rejected 74. The three that remained were worth writing to. That's the entire philosophy.
Who's behind it
I'm Andrzej — founder, and for now the entire company. I'm a software engineer from Schiedam, the Netherlands, and I built Coldstart because I needed it myself: I'd rather build an engine that reads the market all night than send one more "I hope this email finds you well".
Coldstart runs on its own product. Every cold email we send about Coldstart was found, analyzed, and drafted by Coldstart — if one of them brought you here, you've already seen the demo.
What we will and won't do
- Public signals only. The engine reads job posts, funding news, and company announcements. Nothing private, nothing scraped from behind a login.
- A human approves every email. Nothing is ever sent without you reading it and choosing to send it.
- No invented facts, no guessed addresses. If the engine can't verify something, it says so instead of making it up.
- Ruthless rejection. A short briefing of real fits beats a long list of maybes — most mornings, most companies don't make the cut.
