Questions, answered honestly.
The short version: an engine reads public signals overnight, rejects almost everything, and drafts a first email for the few companies that genuinely fit what you sell. You review and send. Details below.
What exactly do I get every morning?
A short briefing in your customer zone: the handful of companies the engine found overnight that fit your niche, each with the reason ("why now"), links to find the right decision-maker, and a first email already drafted in your voice. You read, edit if you like, and send — or skip.
Where do the leads come from?
Public sources only: job postings, funding announcements, and company news. Nothing private, nothing scraped from behind a login, no bought lists. If it isn't public, the engine doesn't know it.
How is this different from spam or a bought list?
Volume. A typical morning, the engine looks at dozens of companies and rejects almost all of them — one recent run rejected 74 out of 77. What survives is a few companies with a fresh, concrete reason to hear from you, each getting an email written specifically about their situation. That's the opposite of a blast.
Do you send emails on my behalf?
No. Nothing is ever sent without you reading and approving it. You send from your own inbox (one click opens Gmail or your mail app with the draft ready), so replies land where they belong — with you.
What are the 3 free sample leads?
A real run of the engine on your niche — not a canned demo. You tell us who your customers are and what you sell, and we send you three real, current leads with drafts. Free, no card, nothing to install. If they're not good, you've lost five minutes.
What does it cost?
€750 per month plus a one-time €350 setup (both ex VAT). The setup is real work: we configure the engine to your exact niche and offer, by hand. Cancel anytime — it takes effect at the end of the paid month. No minimum term, no notice period.
Is this GDPR-compliant?
Yes — and we're Dutch, so we care. The engine processes public business information about companies (B2B), never guesses or fabricates personal email addresses, and every send is an individual human decision. Details about data we hold and your rights are in our privacy policy; consent for processing your own details is asked explicitly and can be withdrawn anytime via info@getcoldstart.nl.
Which companies is Coldstart for?
B2B companies whose customers leave public traces — they raise funding, hire for telling roles, announce launches. Software, agencies, consultancies, recruiting, professional services. If you sell to consumers, or your buyers never make news, we're honestly not the right fit — tell us anyway and we'll say so.
How many leads will I get?
Fewer than you'd expect, on purpose. Some mornings three, some mornings none — the engine would rather show you nothing than pad the list. A briefing you can act on in ten minutes beats a spreadsheet you'll never open.
Who is behind Coldstart?
One founder — Andrzej, a software engineer in Schiedam, the Netherlands (KvK 42125737). Coldstart finds its own customers using itself; if we emailed you, that email was the product working. More on the about page.
